I have been treated by Dr Chakraborti for over 12 months now and have received the best of treatment and advice. He takes a keen interest in me personally and always explains well the situation I am in and the treatments available both in the immediate and in the future. I have every confidence in the treatment he is providing for me both now and in the future, I feel my health and well-being is in good hands. He has always provided good written information for me to take away and read at leisure as well as discussing fully my current situation and future expectations. Side effects from the treatment have always been discussed in detail and contact numbers provided for a specialist cancer care team to call should I have any concerns at all between consultations and treatments. I am completely satisfied with the care and attention I am receiving.

Dr Chakraborti is compassionate and approachable. He put me at ease by lightening the mood with his sense of humour, while still keeping the consultation professional. He explained the treatment plan thoroughly, allowing plenty of time for questions. My partner felt listened to and included in the discussion too.

I had treatment under Dr Chakraborti which started December 20, this was during Covid, so almost all my appointments were mainly over the phone. The calls were always on time and I didn't feel rushed. I did initially struggle with his accent, so if I didn't understand the drugs he would phonetically sound them out and explain the side effects and tell me to research them. I feel the care I received was good and when my treatment plan was changed during the process he explained why. It was a lonely process but his good humour and understanding helped me through a very hard time.

I am so sorry I cannot agree with these reviews, I wish I could. Jovial, personable, caring. I am sure he would be a delightful dinner guest. As a stage 4 breast cancer patient concerned with the responses I was getting I asked for a referral to the Marsden. I am sorry to report that a cancerous area was missed, I was not offered the medication I should have been and there were questions over the delays in me getting the surgical procedure I FOUND under Mr Chakraborti’s care. To sum up the Marsden struggled to find anything that had been done right and described the approach to my treatment as inactive while I had been proactive and thank god I was proactive. I am now under the Marsden who have been amazing. So in sun up I found his care to be incompetent to the point of negligent, his knowledge not upto date and of the mindset I am heading for retirement so I just deserve the adoration. Very poor.

My first meeting with Dr Chakraborti was when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. I was very ill at that point and every breath was an effort. He told me during that first meeting, arranged through the NHS, that he could not cure me, but that he would make me feel better. He kept his word. Because of the NHS waiting time to start treatment, in consultation with him' we went down the route of private healthcare. The chemotherapy was not pleasant but at the end of it and with the ongoing care and drug regime, I certainly felt/feel 'better'. I could breathe again! What a kind, deep-thinking, gentle and humble person is this wonderful gentleman. I suffer with 'white coat syndrome' and usually can't wait to be out of his consulting room, but the way he engages and includes my husband is wonderful. He definitely listens and takes time to understand the person in front of him. I totally appreciate his understanding, support and encouragement that life is to be lived, whatever the limitations.
